Dear Families,
These times are difficult. To hear that we will not be going back to school this year and see your child’s smiling faces everyday is heartbreaking. It is the right decision to keep everyone safe, but it poses a challenge. Although we are physically apart and not in school, we must come together (virtually) and collaborate to prepare our children for school in the fall. Children can easily fall behind in 4 months, so lets do our best to not let that happen.
*Next week is our scheduled Spring Break (April 6 through April 10) so you will not be hearing from me or seeing posts. Enjoy a week of family time <3
I would like to set up a schedule to call each family to check in the following week, possibly even video chat individually to see how you are all doing. After spring break, we will have more information about what online learning will look like and how we will continue to move forward.
Please remember Preschool lays the “Pre-skills” or foundation for not only your child’s education, but for their life as well. For every area of learning there are basic steps children must experience to grow and learn (reading, writing, social emotional, science, math, etc.)
Here is a spectacular article that discuss some of these foundational steps:

Through their playing, singing and learning, preschoolers gain skills that ultimately help them learn to read, write, build their math and science skills, and become successful students. Preschoolers also learn “school readiness” skills, which help them understand the routines of school, how to work in groups, and how to be students.
Although this can be a challenge, let’s overcome it and our children will be stronger learners because of it <3
