6th Grade Travel Brochure Guidelines

You will be creating a digital travel brochure for a famous/historical place in the world.  Your travel brochure must include AT LEAST the following information:

  1. Name and Location
  2. How long it has been around?
  3. Why it’s there…
  4. What it is…
  5. How many people visit each year?
  6. What are the fun things to do?
  7. What is the historical significance?
  8. When is the best time of year to go?

You must include photos!  Videos are good too, but make sure they aren’t too long.

Share with Ms. Olson via Google.  Each student will be responsible for their own travel brochure.  It is due by the end of the day on Monday, June 4, 2018.  It will be worth 25 summative points.  Grammar and spelling will also be graded, so review carefully before you submit.

The events/topics you will need to summarize are:

Your presentation should be no less than 10 slides and no more than 20.  Grammar, punctuation, and spelling will also be graded for this assignment, so review your work carefully before you submit.  Make sure your graphics and colors chosen go with your font choice.  It should be easy to read and neatly organized.  This project should be of your own words and design.  Do not copy and paste from the internet.  This will be worth 50 summative points.

8th Grade – Election of 1824 Storyboard Assignment

Directions for the Election of 1824 Storyboard – DUE FRIDAY, MARCH 23, 2018

After viewing the photo example, you will design your own storyboard for the Election of 1824.

The top of the boards should define each candidate, his position, and his election results (popular vote and electoral votes).  The bottom portions of the boards describe the role each played in what would become known as the “corrupt bargain”.  Pictures/illustrations should be included for each square.

Below is an example of the storyboard:
