7th Grade Project Starting This Week!

Students will be creating different clay representations of Ancient Indus Valley civilizations’ – Clay Tiles, Clay Pottery, Clay Sculptures.

Students will need to bring modeling clay in as soon as possible.

Attention Parents!

Good Afternoon Parents!

If anyone has any of the items below that they would be willing to donate to the classroom, it would be much appreciated.  It is not required, but there are some things that would help our classroom stay clean and our students healthy.  If you would be willing to send anything in, I would greatly appreciate it.

Things needed in the classroom are:

  • Cleaning Wipes (Lysol or Purell)
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Paper Towels
  • Unscented Air Freshener / Room Deodorizer

7th Grade Mesopotamian House Project

Week of 9/17 – 7th grade classes will work in groups of 3 to build a model of an ancient Mesopotamian house.  Below are a list of possible materials we may use.  Students will decide in their groups which materials they will use to build their model.  The house should be no larger than an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper.  Houses will be due on 9/21/2018.

  • Cardboard
  • Clay
  • Glue/Tape
  • Scissors
  • Rocks
  • Popsicle Sticks
  • Sticks from outside
  • Straws
  • Figures of people and animals
  • Styrofoam
  • Thread / String / Floss
  • Colored Pencils / Markers

  • Shoe box (cut in half)
