Just a quick reminder that nominations are now open for the Alberta Muirhead Teacher of the Year Student Choice Awards.   Four awards will be given out on April 23 – one each for preschool to second grade, third through fifth grade, middle school, and high school.  These awards recognize classroom teachers.  (Impact Awards, which recognize any of our other great staff members, will start taking nominations later in the spring.)

We would love to see an abundance of Teacher of the Year nominations for all of our wonderful Whitmore teachers, so please help us gather your student’s nomination! 

Nominations are due by March 9.

To Kick-Off our Pennies for Patients campaign, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is challenging each classroom at Whitmore-Bolles Elementary School to raise $250 online in just over 48 hours! 

All classrooms that raise $250 or more online during the Flash48 will receive a POPCORN PARTY! 

(If Ms. McCuaig’s class wins, we also get extra classroom incentives!!)

STEP 1: Please go to your school’s online giving page at the above link or visit www.penniesforpatients.org/findyourschool to search for your school page 

STEP 2: Once on your school page, click on “Join Classroom Team” under the Get Involved panel on right-hand side 

STEP 3: Follow the prompts to find your classroom/teacher and register 

STEP 4: Once registered with your classroom team, donations made to your personal fundraising page will count toward your classroom’s total 

STEP 5: Share your link on social media with family & friends!
