Week One at a Glance:

Activity One: Due Date Wednesday March 18th

Creating your name using Inspired Fancy Lettering.

Students can google where “Lettering” can be viewed as artwork such as Calligraphy, Graphic Designed Fonts for print material, signage, illustrations, posters, etc.

Get Creative!! You may use whatever you have at home, for example, pencil, ink pen, scissors to cut away and make name, etc.

Please upload the photo of work to google classroom.

Activity Two: Due Date Friday March 20th

Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) : Definition Following Below

Students will discuss an artwork/ image that will be seen in google classroom and complete assignment using VTS Curriculum to answer three main questions.

  1. What do you see in the Picture?
  2. What makes you say that?
  3. What else can you find in the Picture?
  • VTS: EMPLOYS CRITICAL THINKING BY
  • Looking at Art Images to Predict, Infer, Analyze, or Conclude with facts and evidence seen.
  • Creating a memory bank that utilizes critical thought to expose possible meanings and connections to background knowledge.
  • Engages students to discuss and chat about what is seen in academic manner.
