Dear Parents,

Tomorrow, March 14th, we have a field trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). Students are to bring a brown bag lunch, no glass bottles please! We will be leaving at 10:30am and will return at 2:00pm. I would like to thank all of the parents who volunteered to chaperone during our field trip.

Yesterday was River Oak Elementary School’s Bingo for Books. It was nice to see all of the students and parents who came out to enjoy our night of fun and prizes!

Good evening,

Everyday of the week, the students are expected to read for 30 minutes, utilizing the reading strategy that he/she learned in class, and complete a short summary in their writing journal. Parents are to sign their student’s reading log and writing journal upon completion.

This week is the end of the marking period 3 . We took unit 5 Social Studies  and unit 8 Math test.  We have be using the strategy TDA (TEXT DEPENDENT ANALYSIS) for writing essays and we just finished writing an informational essay.
