Good Evening Parents,
Attached are brief notes on major assignments and activities that were completed this week:
Monday the 17th through Wednesday the 19th, students completed the Reading Assessment on the NWEA.
On Thursday, students completed their team flags and also took a short pre-assessment on what they believe CER is. Students received a two part grade for completing their quick-write for that day and also the pre-assessment. The grade is in the grade book as, “Quick-write/CER Preassessment” (10 point assignment)
On Friday, students took notes on CER and constructed “The Argumentative Handbook.” Students will be taking detailed notes in this handbook the next several weeks during our argumentative writing unit.
