Agenda for the week

Reading/writing We are listening to stories and making predictions on what will happen next in the story. We worked on the letter Ff.  We learned a poem about five fast fishes and practiced writing the letter Ff.

We are also working on writing our names. Please check your child’s folder for a chart that shows how to properly write each letter.  (see arrows on each letter to show where to start writing the letter)

Please make copies of their name page so they can practice writing their name at home each night.

Math  We are practicing counting and recognizing numbers 1-10.

Social  Studies  We are learning the classroom and school rules and practicing being a good citizen at school.

Science  We are learning about the 5 senses.  We will be doing some experiments with apples to help learn more about our 5 senses.

Attached to your child’s folder is their computer  log in information.

You will be getting a note/email about summer work via google classroom.  You will

need this log in information for google classroom activities.

Thank you for coming to see our projects and hear our reports.  We love having you in our classroom!!!

Please continue to put your child on readingeggs.com at home and have them do a couple of lessons each night.  This can count on the reading log in the homework for some of the nightly reading! The reading eggs account will be active all through the summer and they will have the same login next school year as big First graders. Mathseeds will become available soon as well. The login credentials are the same for both reading eggs and math seeds.

Agenda for the Week

Reading/Writing:  We worked hard all week on our ocean reports. We are very happy that we got to present all of our hard work to you! Thank you for all of your hard work and helping your child create an ocean project! This was such a fun way to end the year!

Math: We are all done with our math quizzes! Great job everyone!

Housekeeping Items:

The temperature is rising and the school is heating up! Please remember that we do not have air conditioning at Haigh. It is a good idea to send your child to school in loose fitting, light clothing to help keep them cool.

If you would like your child to wear sunscreen, please apply this to your child before they come to school.

They ocean creatures are awesome!!!

We can’t wait for you to come and see our creatures and learn some interesting facts about them on June 9th from 2:30-3:30 pm.
