Hello! Here’s your info for the week!
The Trade 10 project items were due today. Several students did not bring in any homemade items to trade. If no items are here on the day we trade, your child will not be able to receive any items from other children…after all, this project is about the concept of trade. I give something to you and you give something to me that we both either need or want. 🙂 This is a graded assignment. As stated previously, if you need supplies like paper or glue please let me know.
Language Arts–this week’s sight word is “me”. We are continuing to work on informational writing about snowflakes. We are taking our facts we learning from reading last week and turning them into a book. When working at home, you may work on spacing between words and writing with letter sounds and sight words.
Math–this week we are working on lessons 26-29 and continuing to count and compare quantities (8 is more than 3). The kids have taken the math NWEA and they did so well! I’m very proud of them!
Social Studies–we will be wrapping up our unit on needs/wants/goods/services/trade. An assessment will be given on this unit soon.
Science–still working on the 5 senses as well as some fun Mystery Science lessons
Reading NWEA testing will begin tomorrow morning so eat a good breakfast! 🙂
Reminder of the half day on Friday (dismissing at 11:45) and no school next Monday the 20th.
Watch for information to come home regarding Valentine’s Day and the 100th Day of Kindergarten!
Have a great week!
