Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed the two weeks of break and are trying to keep your household healthy! I know it’s been a rough month of December in regards to illnesses. Keep in mind that if your child does have a fever or diarrhea, we need you to keep them home until both of those are gone without the help of OTC medication. I’ve hosed down the classroom pretty well today as well as prior to the break.
This month is a big month for us! We will close out the second card marking with new report cards, we will take our second round of NWEA testing in math and reading, we will formally assess our reading and sight words as well as counting and number writing.
Language Arts–the sight word for this week is “it”; we will continue working on informational texts; library books come back to school tommorrow
Math–working on lessons 22-25 this week in math and reviewing counting and number writing 0-20
Social Studies–you should’ve seen details regarding our Trade 10 project; note coming home in folders today as well for you to get started; please let me know if you need paper or glue for this project
Science–wrapping up our use of the 5 senses and getting ready for our weather unit
Have a great week! Thanks!
