Hello! I hope you enjoyed your long weekend with your little one! Here are your updates for this week. I understand there are some issues with the Remind app…I’m looking into it. I think my parent and teacher accounts are crossed lol!

Language Arts–this week we are working on letters Ii and Oo. We are working on sight words “look” “and”. I will also be setting up some more individualized sight word work for the kids. Watch for a letter to come home soon with your child’s words.

Math–we are half way through our first math module. I will be doing some assessments during our math time to see how everyone is progressing. We will be working on lessons 17-20 this week.

Science–we began our unit on forces by learning about different types of moving equipment. The kids were fascinated by the excavator we looked at in pictures. We will continue working through this unit.

Social Studies–last week we learned more about school rules by reading our Scholastic magazine. We are continuing to work hard on the 7 habits and being responsible and kind Kindergarteners.

Other–reminder regarding permission slips for 3 Cedars Farm trip as well as basket donations (cash, gift cards in any amount to places like Chuck E. Cheese, Dave and Busters, AMC or Emagine, Coldstone Creamery, DQ, etc.) and subscriptions to Raz-Kids $6. Please send in Raz-Kids money by Friday. If you are able to sponsor one of our students who may not be able to afford Raz-Kids, please send in $6 with the word “sponsor” on your envelope/baggie.
