Here are your updates for the week!

Language Arts–this week’s letters are Tt and Nn. As you read books with your child at night, look for these letters along with letters Ss and Mm. In writing we will be working on drawing characters in a setting either indoor or outdoor. Our sight words are: can, like, to.

Book bags…..many children are not bringing their reading bags to school. Please remember that I cannot add or change the material in your child’s bag if it is not here. Thanks for your help with this!

Math–we are continuing to work with quantities to 5 and how they can be arranged; all student should have a goal of counting to 25 independently (the teen numbers get tricky and some students are consistently skipping a few teen numbers while counting)

Science–we are finishing up what it means to be a scientist and will then be moving toward a unit on Forces (pushes and pulls)

Social Studies–we are studying how to get along with others and continuing to learn about the 7 habits. We have also studied how to be a good friend.

Friday is a half day for all elementary students. School will dismiss at 11:45 a.m. at our same dismissal location.

  Ah yes, the dreaded 13 to 14 count! I think I’ve heard most varieties with many sounding like firteen firteen lol! In Kdg we will work on over exaggerating some of our sounds like the “th” and “l” by pushing our tongues to our teeth and roof of the mouth. Over time this will definitely help 🙂
