Hello! I hope you enjoyed the beautiful weekend we had! Here’s your information for the week!

Language Arts–we are studying letters S, M, R and B. Please work on writing these letters at home as well as naming things that begin with these letters. We are also working on sight words now! Our words are: the, see, can. Again, work on writing these words at home.

Math–we are working on calendar skills and counting. This math program teaches the kids to start counting on their pinky of their left hand. You may want to have your child show you!

Science–we will be learning this week about what makes a scientist

Social Studies–we are learning leadership skills and working on Habit 1: Be Proactive

Watch for your child’s book bag to come home this week if they did not receive one last week. There may be a book (real or made from paper) as well as a bag of letters or sight words to work on reading and writing.

Thursday is Lindbergh’s Open House beginning at 6 pm. I hope you can stop in to say hi! Book Fair is also this week (flyer sent home last week). It will be open during Open House for shopping as well as during the school day. We will go preview it this afternoon as a class.
