Good morning! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! Congrats to any Chiefs fans reading this post! 😉
Language Arts–we are finishing up our Informational Reading/Writing unit this week. The kids have really enjoyed the Read Works articles we have used to locate facts and learn new vocabulary. We are also working hard on proper letter formation and sentence writing. Ask your child to tell you what a 4 Star Sentence looks like!
Spelling–this week is the -et pattern. Our words are wet, yet, jet, it, you, in with fret and letter as the challenge words.
Science–continuing with our new Weather and Climate unit
Social Studies–learning more about ourselves in this unit
We are previewing the Scholastic Book Fair this afternoon! If you would like your child to purchase books, please send in their money in a labeled envelope or Ziploc and I will send them up to the library to shop or you can load money online into a Scholastic eWallet. (Please email me if you use this option so that I know to send them to shop).
Late start is Wednesday! School begins at 9:35.
The 100th Day of School is Thursday! We are looking forward to some fun math stations and a special 100 item snack!
No school on Friday for Kindergarten and Young 5s. All other grades are in session.
Have a great week!
