I am so happy to confirm that we have been approved to start IN PERSON learning labs! Woohoo!!

We will begin Tuesday, October 13th.

IN PERSON learning labs will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at this time. (This may change as the positivity rate changes.)

Everyone will be scheduled to come to ONE (1) IN PERSON lab per week. Again, this may change!

At this time, labs are only 45 minutes to allow everyone a time and for the room to be properly sanitized. 

Please sign up for ONE (1) time on the Sign Up Genius. This will be your child’s time for IN PERSON labs EVERY WEEK until something changes. 

Some IMPORTANT info:

*Please drop off your child at the same door (the Kinder door on Culver) that you came for the assessment day. To avoid congestion at the other doors, we will ONLY be using that door at this time. 

*You MUST fill out a screening form every time you drop off. Sorry about that!

*Children MUST wear a mask to enter the building! I CANNOT allow them to enter without it. Please start practicing now so they are ready to come to school!

*Please be on time for both drop off and pick up. We are running a VERY tight schedule in order to get everyone in. If you are late to drop off or pick up, your child may be removed from the lab. This is a district rule so please be mindful of it. 🙂

*If you are unable to sign your child up for an IN PERSON learning lab due to your work schedule, I understand. I will schedule them for a VIRTUAL Learning Lab over Zoom on a different day. Please let me know if that is an issue!

WAY TO GO MANNY!!!!!!

Good news! Due to the positivity rate decreasing in Wayne County (WOOHOO!!!) we have been approved to start in person learning labs!! I cannot begin to tell you how happy this makes me. These will officially start next week.

HOWEVER, we cannot begin until ALL assessments are done. I thought we were good but I was told that there is one more assessment that I need to administer in order to start in person Learning Labs. That’s the bad news. But, it will not take us long at all to complete this assessment. To make it easiest on the kids (and let’s be honest, you too!) it will be most beneficial to administer this assessment in person.

I have created a sign up genius so you can sign up for a time. I am finishing up our One on Ones on Monday, so we will begin assessing on Tuesday afternoon. There are 2 blocks of time (1:30 to 2:30 and 2:30 to 3:30) on three separate days (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). Please pick the day and time that works best for you.

It will be faster for you if you park on Culver, walk up the sidewalk to the Kindergarten door (near where you picked up the first batch of materials and signed in for the testing) and meet me right at the door. A lot less hassle for you. 🙂 If you are unable to come today before 4, PLEASE let me know and we can make arrangements. Your child needs these supplies for class this week and next. See you soon!

The One on One schedule is below. I had to make a few changes due to a meeting that came up on my end and a few parents that needed new times due to conflicts. Please be sure to check to see if your time works.

I have to attend a math meeting for the district on Thursday from 1-2:30 so if your time was scheduled during that block, I had to switch it. So sorry about that!

Hey everyone! I put together supply packets for the students. You can pick them up anytime tomorrow from 8:30 am to 4 pm. Just let me know when you will be here and I will meet you at the kinder door. (It is the same area that we were at for the original material distribution and testing.) You can use WhatsApp or email to let me know when you are here and I can run them out to you. Thank you!

Hey all. I wanted to let you know I edited the previous post and changed the schedule a bit. I said I had scheduled everyone for 2 meetings and had kept Friday open. That was the original intent but then I decided to start Tuesday due to the short notice and I forgot to change the schedule! It has been fixed. Please look at the schedule and let me know if the time works for you. Your child is either scheduled for Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday. Again, this is ONLY FOR THIS WEEK and we can change the time if it does not work for you.
