Hello parents! I have exciting news! Dearborn Public Schools has secured vaccines for the staff members who want it. What does that mean? That means we are ONE STEP CLOSER TO RETURNING TO SCHOOL!! Woo-hoo!!!!
So because of this, we will NOT have live zoom on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11. Many staff members (including me!) will be receiving their first dose of the vaccine on either Thursday or Friday. (We already do not have school on Friday.) So we need to adjust our schedule for next week.
Please see the updated schedule below for next week.
Monday, February 8 – Supply pickup and Valentine’s Day treat drop off at Snow (1:00-4:00 at the Kinder Doors) There will be NO afternoon reading groups.
Tuesday, February 9 – Valentine’s Day package Pickup at Snow (11:45-4:00) at the Kinder Doors) 100’s Day Celebration (2:00 on Zoom) There will be NO afternoon reading groups.
Wednesday, February 10 – Valentine’s Day Celebration (2:00 on Zoom) There will be NO afternoon reading groups.
Thursday, February 11 – NO ZOOM LESSONS (there will be work in the folders to do)
Friday, February 12 – NO SCHOOL for mid-winter break
Monday, February 15 – NO SCHOOL for mid-winter break
Tuesday, February 16 – I will see you at 8:55 on Zoom!
As you can see, there will be NO AFTEROON READING GROUPS at all next week. On Monday afternoon, I will be contacting a few students who still have some assessments to finish so we can wrap up our mid year assessments.
In the communication we received from the district today, we were told that we have met one of the criteria for re-opening and that we are VERY CLOSE to meeting the second metric. I AM HOPEFUL!!!! Once we meet that second criteria, we will enter the “reopening plan” and soon after we will be back. I will keep you all updated as the news comes in!
