Today is Halloween! To celebrate, Ms. Daoud’s 4th Grade combined with Mrs. Besco’s 2nd grade, and Mrs. Alsibahi and Mrs. Mohammed’s 1st grade classes combined to watch some magical science demonstrations! We discussed chemical reactions and how to be safe in a science lab. While the best part was definitely the “Elephant Toothpaste” reaction, one that you can try at home is mixing vinegar and baking soda. This is a fun experiment that is safe and easy. Try changing the amounts or temperatures of the chemicals. How does that change the chemical reaction?
