Happy 3rd week of school! Last week, we spent a lot of time talking about good choices and poor choices. We read “David” books by David Shannon to help with this. Below is a break down of what we will be learning this week for each subject.
ELA
Letter of the Week is “Tt”
Sight Work of the Week is “I”
**I have songs for letters and sight words under ELA or Sight word resources.
Writing/Social Studies
We are learning about narrative writing. The students are writing about good choices using the idea of a “Yes, David!”
Math
We are learning how to compare and describe different objects
This Friday is a half day of school. Dismissal will be at 11:45.
What a busy first week of school. I have spent much time getting to know your child. We have also spent a lot of time learning the rules and practicing routines.
Everyday, we have snack. Please send a healthy snack with your child (fruit, veggies, graham crackers, pretzels, goldfish crackers, and cheez-its are a few examples.) Also, if you are able to donate one of these snack items for students who do not have one, it would be greatly appreciated!
Today, for our end of the year count down we had a hula hoop competition! The winners of the contest were Nouran and Sara! Tomorrow is popcorn and movie day!
