Can Food Drive and Box Tops for Education
This month we have an opportunity to help others and help our school.
Tomorrow starts our can food drive. All food collected will be donated to Gleaners Food Bank. Only can and box foods (like macaroni and cheese) are accepted. The grade level with the most donations will win a party.
We are also collecting box tops for education. These are used for purchasing new things in the school. The class with the most will win a party.
Both food and box tops can be brought to the classroom,
Make-Up Conferences
Because of my unexpected absence last Thursday, I will be having making up parent-teacher conferences the week of November 28th. If I have not met with you to discuss your child’s proegress, you can sign up for a time before school tomorrow or I will be calling during the day. Conferences are required in order to receive your child’s report card. Feel free to contact me at harrisv@dearbornschools,org to set up a time.
A big thank you to all the parents I have met with already. It is us working together that will help your child succeed.

Half Day of School
Wayne State Health Visit
Today, students from Wayne State University’s pharmacy school came to visit. They taught us how to try and prevent getting sick. They showed us how to catch our sneezes and coughs in our elbow. They also taught us the importance of washing hands. An exciting part of the visit was that Ishaq’s dad was one of the pharmacy students.
