Good evening Haigh families! Did you know we only have 14 1/2 more days of school this year!? It is hard to believe that this year is almost over. We have been very busy testing over the past few weeks……we have 2 more NWEA tests to go! I plan on having my class finished with ALL NWEA by end of day Thursday. Please encourage your children to do their very best.
Reminders for the week:
- NWEA this week
- NO SCHOOL FRIDAY
- Made in Michigan research project’s are DUE on Thursday the 30th. Please check your child’s folder for their packet which includes detailed, step by step information on project requirements AND thier ASSIGNED presentation date.
- Mid-Module math test on THURSDAY
Last week students “Tasted” 6 different books through our class book tasting. The kids had a great time sampling each book and picking their 3 top favorites. I assigned each students a choice based on their top 3 list and students have begun to read and discuss their books with their group members. Students will also be completing a Google slide book report on Google classroom to hold them accountable for their reading and participation in their assigned groups.
This week we will begin to collect information and write a letter to our state representative Abdullah Hammoud about the overuse of plastic bags.
In math we will finish up our unit on perimeter and the attributes of shapes. I plan to have a test on Thursday. Study guide should come home by Tuesday or Wednesday at the very latest.
