We had a good time last week playing in the snow at recess time! Nothing is more fun than playing in the school yard, making giant snowballs with your class! Please remember to send in boots, hats, and gloves to keep your child warm and snug as these opportunities arise….something tells me we will be having a snowy winter!
In reading this we week we will continue to learn about non-fiction text features and how they support our comprehension. We will also learn some non-fiction reading strategies to help us understand the text at a deeper level. In writing we will continue to work on our opinion writing. Ask your child if they would rather wrestle a black bear or an alligator?!?
In math this week we will finish up our first half of our unit on time, metric measurement, and word problems. I plan to have the mid module test on Thursday.
In social studies this week we will begin our new unit on the history of Michigan.
In science we will investigate magnets and hopefully begin our new unit on weather changes over time.
Looking forward to a great week!
