Greetings Haigh Parents 🙂
Winter break is only 1 day away! In your child’s owl folder you will find 3 things to keep them occupied over break.
- A “Stop Winter Brain Freeze” reading log. Please keep them reading over break.
- A NWEA math packet. This packet is according to your child’s fall NWEA RIT score and will help them review (and learn) material that will help boost/grow their WINTER NWEA scores (which we take when we return).
- A “Beyond the Packet” sheet that is a list of activities, ideas, field trips, and websites to keep your child engaged in learning over the break.
The purpose of sending these activities home over break is not to act like a GRINCH and give piles of homework; but to allow for some learning and growth over break. Your child has been working hard over the past 4 months and I would hate to see them slip. Enjoying family time and creating memories is also important so PLEASE use your discretion with how much you want your child to do. These are just suggestions that I wanted to make available.
With that being said, I am very thankful for all of my wonderful students and families. You truly are AMAZING. I wish all of you a safe, healthy, and FUN winter break with family and friends. I look forward to seeing everyone back and refreshed in 2019!! CHEERS 🙂
