We will look at stories that we have read this year to identify the overall one word theme and support our thinking using the CER method to show evidence from the story. In writing this week we will focus on compare and contrast writing. We will learn about the structure of this writing and compose a compare paper about a partner in the classroom.

On Friday we had our introduction to our new math unit : Place value and problem solving with units of measure. We will begin this week with telling time and using the number line to help us solve word problems involving elapsed time.

In science this week we will investigate the force of magnets through our mystery science lessons.

In social studies we will look at the different regions in Michigan to see how Michigan is divided up.
