This week we will begin to look at non-fiction text features. Students will learn the purpose of each feature and how they help us comprehend a text better. Students will be working and practicing with these features during daily five time . In writing we will compose our final copies of our narratives and share them in class. We will begin to focus on compare papers later in the week.

In math we will begin our week with a quiz on multiplication strategies we learned about last week. We will also be doing self reflections on our unit 2 pre-test to set goals for the remainder of the unit. We will also be taking a look at the relation between multiplication and division.

In social studies we will focus on the regions of Michigan. Students will be working in small groups to illustrate a particular region of Michigan. Groups will share what they learned about their region to the class.

Last week students learned that gravity is a force that is all around us. This week students will learn about how friction is a force that slows things down. We will perform some investigations to help us gain understanding.
