Thank you to my students for being PROACTIVE in helping to keep our learning environment free and clear of all fragrance. I know it hasn’t been easy, please know that you are making a difference. Your empathy and compassion touches my heart each and every day.
Thank you, Asma, Mariam, Sarah, and Yasmin, for caring so much about what caused/causes your teacher to become so sick that you would spend numerous hours together planning, researching, and writing the following presentation. Your work is outstanding! Thank you for your desire to learn, understand, and create awareness about scent/chemical sensitivity. You are amazing young ladies and activists. My heart is smiling.

Thank you, parents/guardians, for your understanding of my scent sensitivity and willingness to accommodate me by sending your children to school fragrance free. Without your support, I could not come to school and spend my days with your precious children. I am grateful for your support and blessed to be your child’s teacher.
Thank you to my colleagues for all you have done and continue to do to learn, understand, and spread awareness about my disability. The past few years have not only been challenging for me in learning to live with this disability, but for you as well in learning to accommodate me so I can continue to spend my days at William Ford. To all of you that now refrain from wearing perfume/cologne to school and/or have switched from scented to unscented laundry and personal products, on my behalf, I am forever grateful.
