Hello Students and Parents,
I hope you are staying home and staying well. As difficult as it is, I am staying home to stay well. I want to pass along some news for the Week of 3/23/2020.
To join Story Time with Mr. Higgins tomorrow at 11:45, do the following:
If your family is in need of a Chromebook, tomorrow will be your last chance to pick one up from school between 11:30 -12:30.
Chromebooks will be made available ONCE more to William Ford families on Monday, March 23rd from 11:30-12:30 for those who do not have a computer or tablet in their home, and DID NOT get one on Friday. These Chromebooks are ONLY on loan and ONLY for families without any computers and/or tablets in the home. William Ford will issue ONE computer per household IF they do not have a computer, not per student. These are only to be borrowed and due back to school when school begins again. Parents will be completely liable and responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and condition of the Chromebook, including full replacement of the Chromebook if broken.
Chick on the Assignment tab for new assignments posted in Goggle Classroom.
This week will be William Ford’s Spirit Week. Follow the schedule below.
Good Afternoon Boys and Girls,
Let me start by saying that I miss you all so, so much. Hopefully, it won’t be long until we are together again. In the meantime, I posted some fun activities in Google Classroom. Doodling with Mo Willems and Listen to Reading. Check them out.
Good morning, All,
Please tune in to listen to Mr. Higgins’ Story Time this morning by doing the following:
Hi Boys and Girls,
Remember to join Mr. Higgins for Story Time tomorrow at 10:00.
See you there.
Boys and Girls,
New assignments were posted in Google Classroom yesterday. Do your best to work on them everyday. Some are due by Friday. You should be adding journal entries everyday like I am.
Hi Everyone,
I miss you all so much. I hope you and your families are well. I am well and busy planning learning opportunities for some of my favorite people – YOU! Please continue to look at the blog and ClassDojo everyday. Complete your assignments. I’m trying to make them as fun as possible.
Please continue to work on this week’s assignments. I have added an additional writing assignment. Go to Google Classroom to find it.

Dear Parents, Students, and Guardians,
I would like to extend a big thank you to all parents and students that came into school on Friday to collect books and supplies for students to use over the next few weeks. If you were unable to come in, there may be an opportunity to do so on Monday. I will contact you about this possibility as soon as I know more.
In the meantime, the District wants students to continue learning. I agree. Four weeks is a long time to be away from school. Your child has made great progress and we want that progress to continue. As always, I am committed to your child’s academic growth. I will do my best to support their continued learning. However, I will need your support. For now, please do the following:
Check my blog daily for assignments.
Make sure your child completes assignments by the due dates.
I will be working on completing report cards this week. Currently, your child has an Exact Path Reading Challenge. I assigned it at the beginning of the month. Your child is expected to complete 600 minutes (20 minutes per day for each day of the month) of reading work. Many students have been doing their work, however, not all students. This will be a grade on the report card. It is important to make sure your child has completed this assignment by Friday of this week, March 27, 2020. To learn more about Exact Path click on the link Exact Path. In addition, I will be posting assignments and due dates to the blog over the weekend. Please check it daily for updates.
Together, we will get through this. Yesterday was very difficult knowing I will not be with my beloved students for several weeks. I will miss them dearly; they are a huge part of my life. As we spend this time at home, please consider it an opportunity to spend quality time with your child: read books together, tell stories, write stories, play games together, and limit video games. Thank you for your support and the gift of your child.
Respectfully and lovingly,
Ms. Mroczka
