Dear Parents, Students, and Guardians,
I would like to extend a big thank you to all parents and students that came into school on Friday to collect books and supplies for students to use over the next few weeks. If you were unable to come in, there may be an opportunity to do so on Monday. I will contact you about this possibility as soon as I know more.
In the meantime, the District wants students to continue learning. I agree. Four weeks is a long time to be away from school. Your child has made great progress and we want that progress to continue. As always, I am committed to your child’s academic growth. I will do my best to support their continued learning. However, I will need your support. For now, please do the following:
Check my blog daily for assignments.
Make sure your child completes assignments by the due dates.
I will be working on completing report cards this week. Currently, your child has an Exact Path Reading Challenge. I assigned it at the beginning of the month. Your child is expected to complete 600 minutes (20 minutes per day for each day of the month) of reading work. Many students have been doing their work, however, not all students. This will be a grade on the report card. It is important to make sure your child has completed this assignment by Friday of this week, March 27, 2020. To learn more about Exact Path click on the link Exact Path. In addition, I will be posting assignments and due dates to the blog over the weekend. Please check it daily for updates.
Together, we will get through this. Yesterday was very difficult knowing I will not be with my beloved students for several weeks. I will miss them dearly; they are a huge part of my life. As we spend this time at home, please consider it an opportunity to spend quality time with your child: read books together, tell stories, write stories, play games together, and limit video games. Thank you for your support and the gift of your child.
Respectfully and lovingly,
Ms. Mroczka
