Hello, the district is trying to gather data to help them informed decisions about opening the schools. Attached is a parent survey that they would like you to fill out to help them get a better perspective on the thoughts of parents. Please complete as soon as possible.
Today I will be online from 11:30 until 1on the Blue Button on iLearn. Because it’s the end of the year, today will be a chance for you to get help with any late or missing work or just chat if you would like. I look forward to seeing you online.

Please make sure that you are emailing me as you complete any late work. If you don’t let me know you completed it, I don’t know to check.
Also, make sure you are checking student connect daily so that no assignments are missed.
You have until the 8th to contact me with missing work. After the 8th, no matter the circumstances, I won’t be able to grade any late work because I will have to enter grades.

I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend. I was able to spend some wonderful time with my parents and sister. My dad is doing pretty well after being in the hospital and I am very thankful for that. Happy Memorial Day, and for those ending their fasting I hope you had a wonderful Eid al Fitr.
Once you are finished, you can work on missing assignments or begin reading the article for this week.
Wednesday: Begin reading the article Ch. 22 – The Civil War. As you read, make sure you annotate. You should have at least one question or comment per paragraph.
So this school year is quickly coming to a close. For some of us that still brings about a bit of sadness, for others a welcome relief.
For all of us it means we need to make sure we are checking student and parent connect to make sure that we have everything turned in and nothing has been missed.
The last day to turn in late work is June 8th, 2020. I will not take any old assignments after that day, even if they are only a week late.
If it is missing, don’t assume I have it or I still need to enter it, assume it’s missing. If you are behind, you have roughly two weeks to get caught up.
Email me if you have questions or need assistance.
Do not email on the 7th asking me what you are missing.
Hope you have a happy Eid and Memorial Day.
Mr. Blake

I hope that you had a good weekend. I had a family emergency today and I am heading up North tonight. Because of this I will not be holding a Big Blue Button class tomorrow. I will post two videos, one reviewing the Comparing the North vs. The South assignment. I noticed a few of you struggled with that, so you are welcome to review the video and then revise your assignment without a penalty. If you didn’t turn it in by Friday it will still be late. The second video is going to be a discussion of Part 1 of the webquest. I am hoping to keep each video under 15 minutes. So, we will discuss what I missed on Wednesday. I’m still planning on having video sessions on Wednesday. There are three, you are welcome to join whichever one is convenient. Please keep an eye out for updates in case I have to make any changes.

Big Blue Button on iLearn Schedule for the immediate future.
Hey everyone, so here is the umpteenth revision of the video chat schedule. I didn’t find the 20 minute times to be enough, so I am going to bump them up to 30 minutes and hopefully that will leave some time to chat and catch up at the end of the lessons.
So this week we will start to analyze the different causes of the Civil War. These causes are of the utmost importance because as the occur during the Antebellum period, not only will they influence the Civil War, but they will also help shape the formation of the country.
We are going to review the differences between the North and the South. For this assignment, you will drag the different facts and determine where they belong on the table. Watch the video and use the slides and readings from last week to help you complete the task.
