The quiz on the Monkey’s Paw is Friday.

Late/Missing work is due this weekend if you want it turned in before Progress Reports are sent out.

1. You must have all assignments related to The Elevator turned in. (Suspense Presentation Guided Notes, The Elevator Annotations, The Elevator – Suspense Analysis Questions, Exit Ticket on Mood)
2. Next, make corrections on questions you had incorrect on the assessment. You must include textual evidence to support your correct answer.
3. Then, review your answers with me in the Learning Lab on Friday or Monday, review will start at 1:35 and go to 2pm on both days. If you don’t come to one of the Learning Lab sessions, you cannot retake the assessment.
4. Finally, attend the retake session on Tuesday, November 24th, in the Learning Lab – Open session from 1:35 – 3:00

All of these steps are a requirement for the retake. If you do not complete both steps 1 and 2 you will not be allowed to take the retake.

Hello,

Yesterday and today students have been reading the story the Elevator. You can find a video recording of the story here. Students should have finished annotating the text and be prepared to discuss and or answer questions on the text on Monday. 1st and 2nd hour started answering questions today. 3rd hour will work on this on Tuesday.

Earlier this week I emailed you about interest in a parent-teacher conference. If you are interested and have a specific concern you need to speak with me about, please email me and I will share the sign-up form with you.

I will not be available during Asynchronous time tomorrow and most of the day as I will be attending a funeral. I will try to respond to emails in the evening, but expect on not getting a response again until Tuesday. Asynchronous time will continue again on Wednesday.

PS – I am almost finished grading the Fall Book Form and hope to have them entered tonight. I will be entering any late or missing assignments either tonight or Tuesday.

As of right now all assignments have been graded except the Book Forms, a few late assignments and Book Forms. My hope is to have everything graded before the end of the weekend.

Asynchronous Assignments

For Asynchronous work today you should be finishing up missing work. Many of you have not turned in your Fall Reading Book Form and the Literary Devices Review Activity.

Once you have turned in all missing work you can complete the I’m done with everything Assignment. 

5th Hour: I will be on Zoom from 1:10 to 2:05 if you need any help.

6th Hour: I will be on Zoom from 2:10 to 3:10 if you need any help.
