Assignments for January 10th
If you were absent today, there were a number of assignments given that will need to be finished by Monday, January 13th.
The first of these is the Lesson 2 Reflection sheet. This is the usual ABCD table that we fill out after each lesson in class.
This will be glued on to page 33A in your Interactive Notebooks.
The next sheet is an assessment for this week’s lesson. You will need to create a molecular scale model of what happens to onion gases in two different scenarios.
Finally, we had 4 vocabulary terms that you will need to do an illustrated dictionary for. The sheet can be found below.

Quiz Thursday
Class,
There will be a quiz on Thursday (October 24th). This quiz will cover Lessons 1-4 of Unit 1. The pages in your ISN that this covers are 9A-16A.
This will be your last summative grade of the first card marking.
At the time, I have no study guide, but I will update this post with a quizlet or some other resource to prepare you! (I’ll let you know in class when that is).
Here is a short Quizlet to help cover some of the main ideas.

Alternative Energy Source “CER”
Students,
Today in class you began writing a CER to explain why Wind powered and Hydro electric energy source would be the best for our Unit Challenge.
Information on the constrints and criteria for your challenge can be found on page 10A of your notebooks.
If you require the advantages of Wind and Water, you can find them using the energy information cards FOUND HERE.
If you are struggling with what to write, just remember:
For every piece of evidence, you need a reason why it is important!
For example, if you say Water power is the best choice because there is a river on the land, your Reasoning would be that Hydroelectricity requires a continuous source of water (like the river).
If you have questions, please email me. However, I will be out of town for most of the weekend, so I may not be available to help right away. Don’t wait until the last minute! This is due Monday!

The Quiz will include the following concepts:

- Criteria
- Constrains
- Decision Matrix
If you would like, you can use this Quizlet to help you prepare. You also have definitions and lessons in your ISN that utilized all of these topics.
