Weeks 3: March 30th-April 4th

Hello everyone and welcome to Week 3 of our homeschooling experience.
This work will, once again, be due on Saturday at noon!

This is going to be the last week of work that you will be receiving from me at this point. Next week is Spring break, and based on the information we have, we will be back in school the week after. Of course, this is always a changing situation, so that too may change. What I can say is that no matter what, you will not have science work next week (unless you still need to work on your project).

Anyhow, back to business!

Assignment for NewsELA

You will be working on, and completing the article
Earth’s Natural Resources
This is a small preview of some of the ideas we will be learning about in our next Unit in class.

As usual, you will need to do the following three things for your assignment.
1) Come up with 10 annotations while reading the article, three of these should be connections to classroom work. Highlight these connections in green.
2) Complete the Quiz Assignment (This cannot be reset, so read carefully)
3) Complete the writing Assignment
(Many of you are forgetting this part, and losing points)

Assignment for IXL

You will be working on Section J: Lessons 1 through 4.
There were many more students who did their IXL during Week 2, which is excellent! This week you have 4 sections that are mostly review to ideas we’ve learned about in class.

Your goal score should be a minimum of 80

Science fair Projects

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Again I want to stress that you should NOT be meeting up with your partner in person to work on stuff for your projects right now. We are under an order to stay inside for the next three weeks. What I am asking you to do for your projects currently does not involve leaving your house.

Remember to use the PowerPoint and my voice recording to assist you with this assignment. They can be found in the post below this one.

You are doing amazing stuff here guys, I am so proud of you for sticking to your education. Enjoy your break next week, and I hope to see you the week after!

-Mr. Bailey
