Work for the Week of March 23
Hello everyone and welcome to Week 2 of our homeschooling experience.
This work will, once again, be due on Saturday at noon!
Let me tell you, the idea of working from home is getting very boring now, I miss being in the classroom! At least there I had a window to look out, my office at home is in the basement.
Anyhow, back to business!
Assignment for NewsELA
You will be working on, and completing the article
All About Rocks
This is a small preview of some of the ideas we will be learning about in our next Unit in class.
As usual, you will need to do the following three things for your assignment.
1) Come up with 10 annotations while reading the article
2) Complete the Quiz Assignment
3) Complete the writing Assignment
Assignment for IXL
You will be working on Section I: Lessons 1 and 2.
Many of you did excellent during the first week’s assignment, and this one should be significantly shorter. Still, don’t wait until the last minute to do it!
This Section is all about thermal Energy, so most of it should be a review of ideas we have already discussed extensively in class.
Your goal score should be a minimum of 80!
Science fair Projects
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Again I want to stress that you should NOT be meeting up with your partner in person to work on stuff for your projects right now. We are under an order to stay inside for the next three weeks. What I am asking you to do for your projects currently does not involve leaving your house.
I am finalizing a PowerPoint to help you out, check back every so often to get that!
Final Thoughts
I was so happy to hear from so many of you about what your week was like. There are some fun things going on in your lives, while still staying safe inside! Please always feel free to send me some enjoyable emails, we don’t always need to be focused on business!
