A Few Announcements Before the Break!
Hello students and families,
I just wanted to make a couple of announcements since I will be unable to do so due to lack of school.
STUDENTS
You were given a NewsELA article about pollution in class today. The reading and all accompanying assignments are due Monday, November 27th. Along with the reading you are asked to
- HIGHLIGHT MAIN IDEAS
- ANSWER THE QUIZ QUESTIONS
- WRITE TO ANSWER THE WRITING PROMPT
These will be 3 grades in the grade book.
STUDENTS AND PARENTS
Announcement 1
Last week, students were given envelopes containing raffle tickets. These are ticket for our PTA fundraiser for the year. Instead of magazine sales, we will be having a raffle to raise money for the school. Each ticket is $2 and they will be entered for a chance to win either $500 or $250. Thanksgiving is a great time to mention this fundraiser to family members and provides the PTA with the funds needed to make Bryant Middle School excel in the classroom, as well as through our extracurricular activities. Please help support our WONDERFUL PTA.
Announcement 2
The Seventh Grade will be going on a field trip to Wayne State University to see A Christmas Carol performed on stage. Permission slips were given out to students last week, and need to be collected by November 27th. Along with the permission slip is the $20 cost, covering transportation costs, ticket, and pizza upon arrival back to Bryant.
Of course, Thanksgiving is most importantly a time for family and to reflect on the good in your life. I want to wish everyone an excellent Thanksgiving, may your time together be great, and your meals even greater :-). See you in 5 days!
