Genetics With a Smile
Today we started a 3 day activity know as Genetics with a smile. We created smiley faces based on a coin flip to determine their traits (like in real life, the traits you get from your parents are a 50/50 chance).
Genetics With a Smile This is the sheet where you will be flipping a coin.
Genetics With a Smile Phenotypes This sheet helps you figure out the phenotype of your genes, or the actual characteristics that show up. Remember, if you have either 2 dominant OR 1 dominant and one recessive gene, the phenotype will be the dominant form. When you have 2 recessive genes that is the ONLY time your phenotype will be recessive.
Once you figure out the phenotype of the smiley face, you will need to draw a face that has all of the correct characteristics.
