Government – Chapter 1.1 Vocabulary

1. Suburbs: a small city outside of a large city

2. Customs: a thing that many people do

3. Possessions: things a person owns

4. Colonist: a person who lives in a colony

5. Colony: a country that is controlled by another country

6. Rural Area: a small village with not many people

7. Urban Area: a large city with many people and buildings

8. Rebel: to go against the government

9. Government: a combination of laws that people live by

10. Consider: to carefully think about something
