The weather is finally warmer and kids have plenty of opportunities to play outside!!  We are in the final stretch and ask that NWEA practice continue at home to help get ready for our testing coming up on May 15th. Students are no longer getting packets and are asked to log in daily on computer sites such as Khan academy, MYON, Prodigy. Clever, etc.

Hopefully students  will will make it outside to closely see the plant cycle in full affect!

Students are very excited to start reading about all the great African Americans that have made such a great contribution to our nation. From Martin Luther King Jr. to Jackie Robinson, we are learning so many great things that inspire us to be better students.

We are off to a great start with NWEA and writing across the curriculum! 2018 is going to be a great year!

This Friday is our Christmas celebration! Students will get a chance to build prior knowledge by decorating Christmas cookies, making stockings, and watching the popular movie The Polar Express! We are all so excited and can’t wait for Christmas break.

Welcome back to all our lovely parents and their students!!

We are starting off the year will so much learning already! Students are adjusting to the routines with their goals in place.  Reading groups have been established and students are ready to read. Parents please make sure that the reading logs and planners are signed daily.

NWEA reading and Math have been taken this week and each child has a goal based on their performance. We are all excited to move forward with this year and experience it in the most positive way.

Reminder we have gym on Tuesday so please have gym shoes.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer vacation!!! It feels great to be at home relaxing today. Great day for reading and starting your summer packet… Just kidding, you can do that tomorrow.  All joking aside, boys and girls I really need you to keep all that you have learned by exploring, journal writing, and reading! Enjoy your summer vacation. I will miss you all?
