Newsletter for September 29th:
What we did during our week:
Language Arts and Writing: We worked on recognizing and writing the letter D and the letter W. We have also been working on ‘read to self’ as part of our centers.
3 ways to read a book:
Read the words
Reat the pictures
Retell the story
Math: We practiced recognizing, writing and representing numbers 7 and 8. In addition, we learned about diamonds and ovals.
Science: We have been learning about apples this week in preparation for our field trip! We made our pictures with 10 apples up on top, graphed our favorite way to eat apples, learned about the parts of an apple, and of course ate apples!
Other: We finished up our NWEA Testing, and had picture day on Friday. They looked fabulous!
