What we did during our week:
Language Arts and Writing: We worked on recognizing and writing the letter G and the letter T. We practiced spelling words with these letters, and stretching out the other sounds too. In addition, we continue to grow with our writing. This week we wrote about monsters and things we can do! Check out some of our work below!
Our test over LIST ONE for the sight word list is next week. Your child should be able to read all of the words.
Math: We practiced recognizing, writing and representing numbers 15 and 16 and we continued working with 3D shapes (cube, sphere, cylinder, rectangular prism and cone)!
For our math centers we…
Played shape bingo, made and counted monsters with eyes, sorted 2D and 3D shapes, and practiced counting ‘how many?’ with different fall pictures.
Science: We have been learning about push and pull and tested our knowledge on Friday! With a new month comes new science – we will be moving onto weather next week!
Social Studies: As always, we are working on being good friends. Next month we will begin to learn about needs and wants.
Other: We had indoor recess on Monday, which meant puppet time!
