Newsletter for October 13th:

What we did during our week:

Language Arts and Writing: We worked on recognizing and writing the letter E and the letter V. We have been working more on our writing. We are practicing stretching out the sounds in a word and using some inventive spelling (Ex: elefnt for elephant). These writing sheets are sent home – practice stretching these words out and spelling them again with your child. Lastly, we spent some time on learning what labeling is, and we practiced labeling our pictures.

Math: We practiced recognizing, writing and representing numbers 11 and 12. Again, we now have math seeds! Please start to use this at home in addition to reading eggs. In addition, we have been working on tens frames, and one-to-one correspondence with numbers during our math centers.

Science: We have moved onto our next science unit – push and pull! We will be doing some fun experiments throughout the next month.

Other: Friday was our Super U Challenge, we had some friends get picked from the audience to go up and participate! 🙂

Housekeeping items:

Thank you all the families that showed up to our parent meeting!

Costume parade has been changed to October 31st – a note came home about wearing appropriate costumes, and not wearing any masks. Another reminder will be sent out closer to the date.

Upcoming Events:
