Miss Lacey’s favorite season is finally here! Fall into reading with our sight word tree 🙂 Please continue to practice pre-primer sight words with your child during these fall months. Many of the students are beginning to identify color words such as blue, yellow, and red, as well as other high frequency words such as me, play, look, go. Flashcards should have been sent home as well as some sight word booklets. If you need more copies please let me know and I can send them home with your child. As always, Miss Sabrina and I appreciate the work you put in at home with your child. It truly reflects at school!

The school is asking that you please send in any box tops or coke caps to raise money for school supplies. Any donation would be appreciated. The classrooms with the most box tops/coke caps at the end of October will receive an ice cream party provided by the PTA!

In addition, the school is also collecting old printer ink cartridges, toner, and small electronics to help raise money for school funded projects. These can also be sent into school with your child.

Welcome back to School! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer 🙂 As we start school this week, the students, myself, and our wonderful para-pro, Miss Sabrina, are all getting to know each other. We are exploring our new classroom, learning how to play with friends, practicing how to follow directions, and how to transition to different activities/rooms around the school. We are all doing our best to get to know one another, our likes/ dislikes, and what motivates us to learn! If your child is particularly motivated by something, please send it with them or send me suggestions! (a toy, food, candy items, suggestions for Ipad Apps. or computer games, etc.) We are all looking forward to a great school year full of growing and learning together 🙂
