Dear Families,
Last week the students learned about the letter Bb. We finished up the all about me theme and are starting fall activities. This week we will start the letter Cc and talk about the change in the weather and the fall season. Students will paint with leaves and go on a nature walk on the playground. This week in the Little Scholar’s class we have introduced scissors and are working on cutting and name tracing. We had a talk with the students to let them know that they may not use scissors without adult supervision. At school we use child safety scissors when working on our cutting. In our Mini Scholars the students are working on circle time skills and getting adjusted to the routine. The students will begin bringing home the me bag and story bag. This is something that goes home over the weekend and a different student gets it each time. This is done by alphabetical order, once everyone in the class has had a turn we start the process over.
Parents please remember at drop off times that doors open at 12:45 for Mini Scholars and 12:55 for Little Scholars due to school safety issues we are not allowed to have the doors open unless someone from the teaching staff is present. One of the teachers will try and stay by the doors for about 10-15 minutes after opening time. After that time please come to the back-classroom door or knock on the window. There can be a lot of family traffic during drop off time, so we try to make the transition easy for all the students involved.
Just a reminder that the field trip to the Plymouth Apple Orchard in October 12th. Money is due by October 11th siblings and other family members are welcomed to join 🙂
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.
