The Imax field trip will be Tuesday December 10th. Please arrive at 9:45. We still have a couple of tickets left for students that would like to attend the cost is $8.50. If students wear there Pajamas they receive free popcorn during the movie.

Dear Mini and Little Scholars Families,

I hope all of your families are enjoying the holiday season.  The students will be having some special activities to celebrate the holiday season.  Starting on Monday December 16^th students will be participating in December Fun Days. This is where students may dress in special clothing here are the dates:

Monday December 16 Little Scholars- Candy Cane (Wear Stripes)

Tuesday December 17Mini Scholars- Candy Cane (Wear Stripes)

Wednesday December 18 Little Scholars- Happy Hanukkah (Wear blue for our friends that celebrate Hanukkah)

Thursday December 19 Mini Scholars- Wear Red (For Santa)

Friday December 20 Little Scholar- Wear Red (For Santa)

Both the Mini Scholars and Little Scholars will be having a special snack day/party.  On Tuesday December 17^th Mini Scholars will be participating in there winter party/special snack day.  On Wednesday December 18^th Little Scholars will be having their winter party/special snack day.  There will be a sign-up sheet available this week with more details.

Students will also be participating in a book exchange to close out the holiday season here at school.  Mini Scholars book exchange will be on Thursday December 19^th during class.  Little Scholars book exchange will be on December 20^th during class.  Please bring a book that is wrapped and cost no more than 5 dollars. 

There will be no school for the holiday break from December 23- January 3.  Students will return on Monday January 6.

On Friday December 20^th the students will be having a special snack; there will be a sign-up sheet available this week with more details.

Students will also be participating in a book exchange in order for all of the students to participate please bring your books by Wednesday December 18^th. We have students that attend on different days if we bring the books by Wednesday we will be able to make sure all of the students receive a book.

There will be no school for the holiday break from December 23- January 3students will return on Monday January 6^th.

Dear Families,

There will be some changes to the Haigh Preschool Program in the next couple of weeks.  I will be working with the Half Day Preschool Class.  We will miss Mrs. Lisa and wish her well on her new endeavor.  We are trying to keep the routine as similar as possible with the students.  The afternoon and morning classes may have a slight variation in activities and special events in order to keep routines and schedules similar to what the students are use too. 

Mrs. Heyam, Mrs. Abir and I also have another bit of important information that we need to share with all three of the Haigh Preschool classes.  In January the preschool program will be moving to Lindbergh Elementary, located at 500 N. Waverly.  This will take place towards the middle to end of January.  The district has given us a letter that we will be handing out this week to all of the families. The half day morning preschool information will now be added to this blog. I will be sending out paper newsletters as well. The blog will have information on current activities, themes, and special events that will be taking place in class. I will also be sending home the blog link as well. Thank you for working with us as make this transition as smooth as possible.

Just a reminder that field trip money is due by Tuesday November 19th if you would like to attend the field trip. The price is $8.50 a person siblings and other family members are welcomed to attend. The Imax requires the school to drop of the money prior to attending the field trip. We must have at least 30 participants to attend the field trip.

We will be having a friendship Thanksgiving meal in class this will be during our normal snack time. Little Scholars friendship Thanksgiving will be on Monday November 25th and Mini Scholars will be on November 26th.

There will be a sign up sheet in class this week. We will also be sending home our monthly color homework on Thursday in the Mini Scholars Class and Friday in the Little Scholars class.

Dearborn Schools will be closed today due to weather conditions. Mini Scholars I will hand out field trip information on Thursday. I was going to send it out today. It is the same information that is on the iblog. There was a typo on the field trip information sheet. The last day for payment is Tuesday November 19th after that we can no longer except payment, because it must be dropped off prior to our field trip.
