Reminders: We have library tomorrow, so please send in library books if your child wants to check out a new one! Module 3 math books are also coming home today. We are starting the next module after we finish up our assessment today. Some pages may not be filled out in Module 3 because we did some lessons whole group together.
Please start doing the homework in the Module 4-6 book according to the pages we complete on the blog. I will be sending homework books home as well this week.
Lego Note: Thank you for returning the colored brick Lego for Leadership day. There is another note coming home today about Legos, but it is different. We are asking that students build a Lego Master Piece for Leadership Day. It has to be original masterpieces and they are due on later than Friday, March 1st. If you are interested, you need to fill out the form and return it to school:)
Language Arts This week we are working on sorting different texts (poetry, make believe, and informational) and being able to identify the author of a book. Please encourage your child to read different genres and types of text at home to reinforce this skill! Please keep all spelling notebooks in the reading bags and have them returned to school each day since we will be using them in class. Please help remind your child these should all be lowercase letters and practice b/d at home.
Math/Science/Social Studies In Math, we are finishing up our Module 3 assessment. We are starting Module 4 this week. We plan to do lessons 1-4. We are working on decomposing numbers and introducing number bonds (this will take some time to get used to!). Please practice adding up to 5 at home.
