Looking forward to second semester! We now have shopping on Wednesdays where Mrs. Lica’s class has invited Mrs. Badaoui our classroom paraprofessional to join their bus on Wednesday with several students to go shopping at Meijer and Target. Students will get familiar with the location of products, reading the isle charts, price comparison and making purchases if they chose to make a purchase while out. Great life skills experience and learning their way around the grocery store!

This week we worked on making change from $20.00 purchases.

Friday we made Brownies in the morning and the afternoon made spaghetti to add to our recipe books.

PAES jobs went well as students are starting to get the hang of the process of pulling and completing jobs.

This week we will continue determining the amount of change given from a purchase with a $20.00 bill.

Last week we focused on making change from a $5.00 bill.

Today we will be making spaghetti with the class. Students also completed their first folder check!

A blank job application was given as a pre test to identify what students know about completing job applications. We will work on filling out job applications along with how to locate entry level positions using both the newspaper and computer job sites.
