Early College

Please make sure that you have submitted your essay and report card to them. My recommendations come directly to me. According to their website very few students have completed the requirements, they are very eager to have all the paperwork in ahead of schedule. If they continue the same process they used last year, you will receive an email to take a pre-qualification test. Then they will submit the names into the lottery.

Edsel Ford Visitation

On Monday 4/18, Edsel Ford will be coming to Stout. The future Thunderbirds will be going to the auditorium at 1:00. Craig Kiefer and Tara Haddad will be addressing the transition from middle to high school. Course selection sheets have already been distributed and should be returned immediately to the counselor.

Career Cruising 7th grade

On 4/13 and 4/14, all 7th graders will be completing their Career Matchmaker. This is a tool that we use to get our students thinking about their future plans. This may be a job, a certificate program, a two or four year college degree. They revisit it every year with their counselor. They be reviewing the career and progress toward it and make adjustment. They will also use it to decide electives and core class selection. In their junior and senior year, they will be using it to look at colleges, financial aid, and their resume.

Course Selection Sheets

Please turn in these sheets to me. I would not be happy if somebody else picked my electives. If Dearborn sheets are not in by April 8th, I will be sending Dearborn an email to inform them that they are to pick your electives for you. It will be your responsible to contact them to change them.
