Week of February 4

Hi everyone!

Wow, what a short week we had last week! This week, our focus is on getting back into the swing of things. We have been out of our routine now due to NWEA testing and snow days, so I am hoping this week things can slow down and get back to normal. 🙂

A couple things I wanted to let you know:

Student Council will be having a pencil and eraser sale tomorrow for 4th grade. Each item costs 25 cents, and we ask that students do not bring in more than $1 so that we can ensure there is enough for all grades to purchase!

Valentine’s Day is next week. Students will be making a Valentine’s Day mailbox IN CLASS using an empty cereal box. If you could send in any empty cereal boxes as you finish them at home, that would be great. If you have more than one, please send in whatever you have, as I’m sure other students could use one. We will decorate them next Thursday in class.

Spelling words are in the students’ planners. They are also available online under week 19 on iLearn. We continue to work on long division strategies in math. We are also learning about energy in science, and working on building some roller cars! In reading, we are getting back into the swing of reading groups after all our testing and days off.

Have a great week!
