Last Snack Sale!

Tomorrow, Thursday July 11th, will be our LAST snack sale! If you want your child to buy a snack, please send in money ($1 is all you need!) with your child. Please put it in a bag or an envelope labeled with your child’s name so it does not get lost. Thank you!

Water Field Day!

Hello!

We are having a Water Field Day on Monday, July 22 for students.

Students should come to school already wearing comfortable and appropriate clothing for a water day.

Recommended items:

  • Comfortable clothing – preferably made of “quick-dry” fabric. Avoid wearing clothing that is “see-through” when wet and/or heavy material clothing like denim.
  • Appropriate footwear like older tennis shoes or water shoes should be worn.
  • NO Sandals and flip-flops. They are not appropriate choices for safety reasons.

Please also send a change of clothes, shoes, a towel, and a plastic bag (for wet clothes) with your child.

Let the water games begin!

BookNic!

On Tuesday July 9th, we will have our first Booknic!

Our time will be 8:00 to 8:45. Parents are welcome to join!

Please bring a blanket/beach towel to sit on, a few of your favorite books, sunglasses/hat and some snacks/breakfast. We will line up as usual, walk in, grab breakfast and head right out to the Peace Garden! At 8:45, we will say goodbye to our parents, and then we will return to class to begin our day.

STEM Bags

Good morning and happy Tuesday!

Every week, we will be working on STEM activities in class. Once have completed them, they will be sent home. Be sure to ask your child about them! They worked hard exploring the materials, coming up with a plan and then engineering their design.

I will also be sending home an informational sheet for each project. So far we have done 2 projects. I will send those info sheets home with the kiddos today.

Have a great week!

A note from Mr. Abdelfattah

Dear Parents,

I hope this message finds you well. Thank you for your support during the successful first week of summer school.

I would like to inform you that there has been a slight adjustment to the dismissal time. Moving forward, classes will now be dismissed at 2:20 pm instead of 2:15 pm. We apologize for any confusion this may cause.

Additionally, with the anticipated heat in the upcoming days, I want to assure you that our classrooms and common areas are air conditioned. To ensure the comfort and well-being of your child, please remind them to bring a water bottle to school to stay hydrated.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Sincerely,

Mohammad Abdelfattah
