This week we are focusing on characteristics of a Legend. We read “Young Arthur” last week and are reading “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight” this week.
Comprehension questions 1-7 on page 703 are due by the end of the week.

This week we will be reading “What Do You Know About Sharks?,” found on page 908.

Vocabulary maps that pertain to the reading selection are due Wednesday at the beginning of class (we started them on Monday).

We are beginning our week with NWEA testing. We hope to be complete by Wednesday. Following NWEA testing we will be reviewing informational text features as well as informational text structures, this will lead us to our first reading from our textbook, “Great White Sharks”.

It’s been a great start to the new school year, we have some great classes. We are looking forward to having a wonderful year.
Presently in class we are working on district assessments that are used for planning purposes. Next week we will start with NWEA testing on Monday and Tuesday.

This week we are finishing up our argumentative essays then starting a new story, “Young Arthur” page 682.
