2020 Snow School Summer Learning

June 8, 2020

Dear Snow Families,

On behalf of the Snow Team, we would like to wish every Snow family and safe and relaxing summer break.  We are so proud of how the whole Snow community came together during this difficult period to support our students. Each child is precious to us and we miss them dearly.

To help our students continue to make progress throughout the summer break, we will be posting suggested summer work.

Thursday, June 11 is the last ½ day of school for students.  The Snow staff would like to say goodbye to students for summer time by standing along Culver Street at  11:00am on June 11.  Staff will be waving goodbye and sending their best wishes to all Snow students.  We are asking any family that chooses to participate to drive south down Culver at this time and wave to staff and honk their horns!

As we receive information regarding the 2020-2021 school year, we will be sure to communicate through the district website and our Snow blog.  Have a wonderful break!

The Snow Team Thank you,

Amal Alcodray
Principal Snow School

The following letter is from Principal Greg Oke at Stout.  It contains important information and links about scheduling classes.  Please take a moment to read it carefully.  As some families know from having students in Middle School, fixing your schedule at the beginning of the year is much harder than making sure you schedule correctly the year before.  Please don’t ignore this information.  Students, share this information with your parents.

I will continue to forward information as it comes to me from Stout but you should follow the Stout Blog to ensure you continue to receive information once summer begins.

Students who need to pick up their desk belongings may do so next week by appointment only. Call the main office at (313) 827-6250 to schedule your pick up time.

We are almost there! This will be students’ last week of regular assignments. Next week will be a “catch-up” week with no new content introduced. Here is the schedule of assignments for the week.

A Progress Report for last week’s assignments has been sent to your email. Please use it to gauge how your child is doing each week.

We will have a meeting on iLearn’s Big Blue Button on Wednesday at 3pm. Directions for getting on BBB are attached.
