Dear Snow Families,
This year for Halloween we are going to begin a new Snow tradition- an all school Halloween Parade! Every class level will have a station to decorate and pass candy out to all students.
Students may wear their costumes to school. This is optional. For safety reasons, we ask that costumes are appropriate. We also ask that there are no masks, weapons, excessive makeup or anything that will distract students from learning as they will be in their costumes for a full school day.
Please let your classroom teacher know if you are willing to be a Parent Leader. This will involve organizing grade level parent helpers, table decorations, candy bags, and candy collection for your grade.
We will also be requesting candy donations on teacher blogs as there are over 450 students in the building! We are asking every class to donate 5 big bags of candy. Thank you for supporting Snow!
When: Thursday October 31, 2019
Where: Snow Hallways
Time: 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Wear: Costumes, Adults Western Theme or your choice

Attendance is extremely important. Students who are not in school miss instruction which puts them behind. Contrary to popular belief, half days are not a “day off” at school. We follow our regular schedule for instruction so students who do not attend half days will miss instruction and have to make up the work missed. Please make all attempts to send your child to school everyday!
Today we had the DTE Energy Presentation. The kids really enjoyed it! They are bringing home a Take Action Energy Kit today. Please go through the kit and complete the activities with them. They learned a lot about it today. Once you do that, there is a survey that you and your child can complete together (very easy). It can be returned to school or submitted online. If the surveys come back, our class will earn a $100 mini-grant from DTE! Please email me if you have any questions.
4th graders will have their Module 2 End-of-Module Assessment tomorrow. Today, we completed/corrected the study guide attached in class. Students may use their Learn Book, Study Guide, Exit Tickets, and Homework to study.
